Q: What is Community Watch and how can I get involved?

A: The mission of the Farmers Branch Community Watch Program is to develop a sense of community spirit by promoting neighborhood safety and support through programs and activities in cooperation with the City of Farmers Branch. For more information please visit the Community Watch page.

Q: What is the Vacation House Watch Program and how do I participate?

A: The Vacation House Watch Program is a program designed to provide peace of mind to Farmers Branch residents while they are away from home for extended periods of time. Employees of the Farmers Branch Police Department will physically check homes during a resident’s absence. Information provided by the resident makes it possible to contact them, or their designated key holder, in the event that the residence may need attention. The Vacation House Watch Program excludes apartments and/or condominiums.

Request entry into the House Watch program. Please allow up to three days for your request to be processed. In the need of a last-minute house watch, please call 972.484.3620.

Q: I have a question about the Red-Light Enforcement Camera Program. Where can I get more information?

A: For program information, individuals may review information found on the City of Farmers Branch website or visit the Redflex Traffic Systems site at www.redflex.com. If a red light violation was received in the mail, instructions on how to respond to the violation can be found on the back of the citation. For additional questions call Redflex Traffic Systems at 866.527.9470.

Q: How do I file a complaint or compliment an officer?

A: Fill out a form that is submitted directly to the Farmers Branch Police Department.

Q: How can I get a copy of a police report?

A: Individuals may pick up a copy of a police report from the Records Department at the Farmers Branch Justice Center from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Accident reports can be obtained online at http://farmersbranchtx.policereports.us/. There may be a fee for police reports.
