Accreditation 

The Farmers Branch Police Department has "Recognized" Status with the Texas Police Chiefs Association's Best Practices Recognition Program.  Being "Recognized" means that the agency meets or exceed all of the identified Best Practices for Texas Law Enforcement.  These Best Practices cover aspects of law enforcement operations such as use of force, protection of citizen rights, pursuits, property and evidence management, and patrol and investigative operations.
