The Farmers Branch Animal Adoption Center was opened to the public on May 7, 2009. The state-of-the-art facility has the capacity to concurrently house up to 37 dogs and 31 cats. An interior “Get-to-Know” room and an outdoor “Get-to-Know” courtyard enable prospective pet owners to become acquainted with their future pets on-site, prior to completing the adoption process.

Adoptions have been reduced on all adoptable cats for the holiday season. Please call the adoption center for current adoption fees.
NOTE* The adoption center is now at full capacity with dogs and we have several superstar dogs that need a good home. Many are housebroken, very mannerly, walk great on a leash and are very loving and super friendly. In addition, many have short coats that don't shed as an added bonus so grooming is minimal. If you are a large dog lover and looking for a four footed best friend please come down and check out our great dogs! We also have several small dogs for the small dog lover.
NOTE* Volunteers are welcome at the Animal Adoption Center and duties include cleaning kennels and cages, walking dogs, feeding the animals, and basic grooming such as brushing or bathing animals. All volunteers must attend a Volunteer Orientation class which is given on the first Tuesday of the month at 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, on the third Tuesday of the month orientation is given at 10:00 AM. All volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Donations to the Animal Adoption Center are always welcome & appreciated. Items such as pet food, treats, toys, bedding, blankets can always be utilized by the Center.
NOTE*
Kennel Sponsorship
Dog kennels and cat condos can be sponsored. All funds will be used by the Farmers Branch Adoption Center to benefit homeless and stray dogs & cats. A recognition plaque bearing the sponsor's name will be placed above the kennel, cage, or condo for the duration of the sponsorship which is a year. Sponsorship can be renewed and the prices of sponsorship are as follows:
