FARMERS BRANCH ~ In recognition of her years of work in further the field of landscaping in public places, Farmers Branch Parks and Recreation Landscape Manager Pam Smith has been named an honorary Dallas County Master Gardener.
Only one of three honorary title holders, Ms. Smith earned the distinction through years of leadership in the field and close working relationships with multiple universities and gardening agencies, not only making Farmers Branch a much nicer place to be, but promoting landscape education through events, field trips and ongoing classes.…

FARMERS BRANCH ~ Continuing the tradition of excellence on the Farmers Branch City staff, Miguel Gauna recently received the James A. Vyers Animal Control Officer of the Year award at the Texas Animal Control State Conference held recently.

HISTORICAL PARK ~ After 37 days of showing off 300,000 lights to thousands of north Texans, the 2012 edition of the Farmers Branch Tour of Lights comes to a close New Year’s Eve.
Weekend revelers can still take in the sights of the lights on trees, buildings and displays each evening, through Monday, December 31, from 6:30 until 9:30 p.m. The driving tour follows clearly marked Candy Cane signs from the intersection of Valley View and I-35E down William Dodson Parkway, through the DART station area and around to the Farmers Branch Historical Park.…
