“The greatest thing about Farmers Branch is the people. They provide the heart of the city and foster that small town atmosphere even in the midst of the bustling metro area. People can have their cake and eat it, too - small town feel with big city amenities. Farmers Branch rocks!…”

FARMERS BRANCH ~ A detailed report on water consumption in Farmers Branch from January 1 through April 30 confirms Farmers Branch is heeding the call for voluntary conservation with a decrease in water usage by residential, commercial and business customers as well as the City organization.

In April, the residential sector was down 15 percent, commercial was down 21 percent, apartments reduced by 2 percent while the City organization was down 83 percent for a total reduction of 19 percent, rather than the originally reported 44 percent.

"The message remains clear," said Farmers Branch Assistant city Manager Shanna Sims-Bradish. "We asked for a reduction in water consumption and Farmers Branch continues to deliver. Conservation remains the best policy as we don't know what the weather will bring in the coming months. Use what you need, save the rest."
