Liberty Fest 2012 in full swing

FARMERS BRANCH / Saturday, May 26, 2012 ~ Liberty Fest in Farmers Branch is in full swing with activity going on all over the festival area, leading up to the big, free concert tonight, featuring the legendary Styx, with Gin Blossoms.
NOW (through about 4 pm) – Firefighter Combat Challenge (with Kid’s Challenge Course) @ 2427 Carrick @ CFB-ISD Technology Center (south of the I-35E/Valley View intersection).
NOW (through about 5 pm)– 7-on-7 Football Tournament @ Cox Park.
NOW – Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show (until 3:30 p.m.) @ Denton Drive, near Farmers Branch Lane.
NOW – American Red Cross Blood Drive (until 3 p.m.) near the Dr Pepper StarCenter.
12 noon (until 5 p.m.) – Outdoor Expo – Featuring kayaking, archery, rock climbing and more @ Gussie Field Watterworth Park, south of City Hall and the DART Green Line Station.
12:30 and 2 p.m. – Blackland Prairie Raptor Show @ Outdoor Expo.
4 p.m. – Historical Park gates open (free ticket required for admission).
4 to 9 p.m. – Liberty KidZone @ Historical Park.
4 to 11 p.m. – Concessions @ Historical Park.

7:45 p.m. – Liberty Fest Patriotic Ceremony
8 p.m. – Gin Blossoms

Free tickets to the Historical Park are still available, while they last, at the Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center and participating sponsor locations. An e-ticket is available HERE and may be printed as many times as needed.
Parking will be available at the Metrosquare Business Park, two blocks south of the Historical Park on Ford Road, City Hall, 13000 William Dodson Parkway, Oran Good Park, 13300 Dennis Lane, or Janie Stark Elementary School, 12800 Josey Lane, at a cost of $10 per vehicle after 4 p.m. (cash only, please).
