Outdoor Expo helps Liberty Fest get back to nature

FARMERS BRANCH ~ Everyone is invited to sample kayaking, rock climbing, archery and other outdoor activities at the Outdoor Expo on Saturday, May 26 from 12 until 5 p.m. at Farmers Branch Liberty Fest.
The area of Gussie Field Watterworth Park on Rawhide Creek, west of Farmers Branch City Hall and south of the Farmers Branch DART station, will be the staging grounds for the Outdoor Expo and its activities, that will include Camping Basics; archery demonstrations provided by Lone Star Bowhunters Association; and kayaking demonstrations with in-boat paddling opportunities, courtesy of Kayak Instruction.
Also, there will be a rock climbing wall; flora and fauna exhibition, presented by Farmers Branch Landscape Manager Pam Smith and Master Naturalists; and the Blackland Prairie Raptor Show, at 12:30 and 2 p.m.
