The City Manager is the chief executive officer of the City organization, responsible directly for the Finance, Communications and Economic Development Departments and indirectly for all others. Gary D. Greer came to the City of Farmers Branch in March of 2007 with a wealth of experience in City government and private industry in Kansas and Nebraska. 

Assistant City Manager Shanna Sims-Bradish is responsible for the Fire, Library, Human Resources, Parks & Recreation Departments and serves as Interim City Secretary.

Assistant City Manager Matt Benoit is responsible for the Police, Public Works, Equipment Services and Community Services Departments.
