City Council

The Farmers Branch City Council consists of the Mayor and five Council members. The Mayor is elected at large, with the remaining City Council members representing 5 single member districts. The Mayor is the presiding officer for the City and represents the City at all official functions. Members of the Council introduce, deliberate and institute policy and ordinances for the betterment of the community. The Mayor and Council members serve without pay for staggered terms of three years.

Regular meetings of the City Council are held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6 p.m. at Farmers Branch City Hall, 13000 William Dodson Parkway. Live meeting coverage can be seen on FBTV, cable channel 16 in Farmers Branch and on the City's website. Rebroadcasts of the most recent Council meeting can be seen on FBTV at 7 p.m. seven days a week (meetings subject to change).
